Dupli-Color Rust Fix Rust Treatment 291g

Dupli-Color® Rust Fix® Coating destroys rust on contact by bonding and transforming it into a sandable and paintable surface. Sprays on clear and transforms into a black, metal protecting coating that prevents future rust from forming. Rust Fix saves you the time of sanding all the way down to bare metal and can be used with body filler and fiberglass.

Directions:

1. PREP: Use of gloves is recommended. Dupli-Color Rust Fix is not recommended for surfaces that will exceed 200°F (93°C). Prepare surface by removing loose paint, dirt, rust, grease, wax, etc. Remover as much rust and scale as possible with coarse 50-grit sandpaper or wire brush. Wash with mild soap and water. Rinse well and dry with a clean cloth. Mask-off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Use at temperatures between 50°F (10°C) and 80°F (26°C) and when humidity is less than 60%.
2. SHAKE: Shake can vigorously for one full minute and shake can for 10 seconds after each minute of use.
3. APPLY: To spray, hold can parallel and 8-10 inches from the surface to be coated and use in an even, sweeping motion. To avoid runs and sags, apply 2-3 light coats, allowing surface to dry no more than 2 minutes in between coats. Final application should dry to a black finish. Protect from moisture and allow surface to dry 24 hours before applying a topcoat or Dupli-Color Sandable Primer or Dupli-Color Topcoat Paint. If needed, dry sanding can be done to achieve a smoother coat before applying primer or topcoat.

• Heat resistant up to 200°F (93°C).
• Can be used with body filler and fibreglass.
• The EZ Touch Nozzle requires 50% less finger fatigue than a standard nozzle and allows for greater coverage and less overspray.
• After each use, invert can and spray until clear gas comes out.
• If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. DO NOT stick pins or wire into the can opening. Discard empty can in trash pick-up.
• Covers approximately 12-14 square feet per can.
