Not sure which wheel size you need?

Before ordering, compare these 3 measurements with your old wheel. They do not always need to be identical, but they should be suitable for your cart, trolley, sack truck or wheelbarrow setup.

1 Wheel Diameter

Measure across the full wheel at its largest point.

2 Bore / Axle Size

Measure the inside diameter of the centre hole.

How to measure wheel bore or axle size
3 Hub Length

Measure the centre hub from side to side. A small difference may still work depending on your axle setup.

Important: Do not choose by tyre marking alone. Codes like 4.10/3.50-4 can be helpful, but the bore size and hub length should still be checked before ordering.

Quick Size Guide

Use this table to compare each wheel size with your old wheel. The wheel diameter, bore size and hub length should be suitable for your axle setup before ordering.

Size Common Uses Wheel Diameter Bore / Axle Size Hub Length Tyre Width
6 Inch Small trolleys, light carts and compact equipment 15cm 16mm 3cm 33mm
8 Inch Utility carts, smaller trolleys and light replacement wheels 20.32cm 16mm 3.5cm 1.75" / 4.44cm
10 Inch Most Popular Sack trucks, hand trolleys, garden carts and common replacement jobs 25.4cm 16mm 5cm 3" / 7.62cm
13 Inch Larger garden carts, hand trolleys and general equipment 33.02cm 16mm 8cm 3.5" / 8.89cm
16 Inch Wheelbarrows, larger carts and heavier garden equipment 39cm 25mm 11cm 90mm
16 Inch Extra Wide Wider wheelbarrows, carts and equipment needing extra tyre width 40cm 25mm 11cm 120mm
Tip: The 10 Inch wheel is our most popular size. It is commonly checked by customers replacing trolley, sack truck and garden cart wheels, but the bore size and hub length should still suit your axle setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should I choose?

Start by measuring your old wheel. Check the overall wheel diameter, the bore / axle size, and the hub length. Then compare those measurements with the size guide above.

The measurements do not always need to be identical, but they should be suitable for your axle setup.

Is the 10 inch wheel the same as a 4.10/3.50-4?

The 10 Inch option is commonly checked by customers replacing wheels marked 4.10/3.50-4, but tyre markings are only a guide.

Please also check the bore / axle size and hub length before ordering.

What is hub length and why is it important?

Hub length is the width of the centre hub from side to side. It affects how the wheel sits on the axle.

A small difference may still work depending on your axle setup, but the wheel should sit securely without excessive side-to-side movement.

Are the wheels sold individually or in pairs?

These wheels are sold individually unless the selected option or product title states otherwise.

If you need to replace both wheels on a trolley, choose quantity 2. If you are replacing a full set on a garden cart or wagon, choose quantity 4.
