This unique, patented mini-mount hub used the depressed centre provides up to 30% more-wheel life because the hub covers just a small surface area, providing maximum grinding area exposure and usage.

For the best results, hold you right angle grinder at a:

  • 30° angle with 1/4” and 1/8” thick Type 27 wheels
  • 90° angle with 0.045”, 1/16”, 0.125” and 1/8” thick Type 27 wheels
  • 15° angle with saucers (Type 28) and Gold Flexible (Type 29 Wheels)

These grinding wheels have surface grinding segments that are best for grinding hard materials and removing heavy stock on flat surfaces. They provide a cool, free cut, long life and fast stock removal for maximum productivity.

Type-to-Application Recommendations:

  • Type 27:
    • Use 0.045”, 1/16” and 3/32” Thick (Type 27/42) for cutting only, where fast cutting and low kerf loss are desired. Ideal for pipe cutting.
    • Use 0.125” Thick for cutting and cleaning root pass welds.
    • Use 1/8” Thick for cutting-off, notching and light side grinding.
    • Use 1/4” Thick for grinding with low horsepower air and electric grinders or where low pressure is used.
    • Use Z24 Long Life, 1/4” Thick for grinding with high horsepower machines (3hp or higher) and heavy pressure; flame cut and other severe applications.
    • Type 28:
      • Use Saucers for smooth, gouge-free griding at shallow angles.
      • Type 29:
        • Use Gold Flexible for polishing and blending applications.
