uPol SMC Carbon Fibre High Adhesion Filler Tin White 1.1L

High adhesion bonding paste and filling compound specifically designed to repair cracks, holes and scratches in SMC, fiberglass, composite and other rigid materials.

Reinforced with carbon fibre for structural strength Easy to sand to a fine finish.

SMC polyester filler is a flexible high adhesion two component chemical paste used for the filling of holes, scuffs and scratches in rigid plastic parts such as fibreglass, SMC, BMC and DMC. The compound contains fibre reinforcement including Carbon Fibre which gives structural strength to the repair.

Mixing ratio : 100 parts by weight SMC polyester filler, 2 - 3 parts by weight U - POL BPO hardener for polyester filler. The exact mixing ratio is not critical, although over or under catalyzation may affect the gel time. Do not greatly over catalyze the paste as this will not significantly speed up the gel time and could lead to bleed through and bleaching problems when over - painting later. Staining may also occur where too little hardener is used.

Pot life : Once mixed, 4 - 6 mins. at 20ºC with 2% hardener.

Tools : Mixing board, filler knife, plastic or rubber spatula.

Drying time : Sandable after 20 mins. at 20ºC.
