VHT Anodized Colour Coat Red 312g

Now DIYers can create an anodized look under their hoods. This unique transparent coating creates an anodized effect over properly prepared chrome, shiny bare metal, and faux chrome-like surfaces for a spectacular metallic finish. VHT Anodized Color Coat is formulated for high temperature and high-performance engine paint applications. It withstands intermittent temperatures up to 550°F (228°C).

To create the anodized metal, look over non-metal and/or painted surfaces, first prime with VHT Anodized Base Coat. Then apply VHT Anodized Color Coat when dry.

Directions:

1. PREP: Prepare surface by removing loose paint, dirt, rust, grease, etc. For best results use grease and wax remover to clean surface. Wipe surface down with grease wax remover. Mask-off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Use at temperatures between 60°F (15°C) to 85°F (29°C) and when humidity is less than 60%. Do not apply paint in direct sunlight.
2. SHAKE: Shake can vigorously for one full minute after mixing ball moves freely. Shake can for 10 seconds after each minute of use. Use VHT SP453 Anodized Base Coat prior to colour coat if surface is not chrome-like in appearance.
3. APPLY: To spray, hold can parallel and 8-10 inches from surface to be painted and use in an even, sweeping motion. To avoid runs and sags, apply in even light coats, followed by one medium wet coat. Apply all coats within 1 hour, allowing 10 minutes between each coat. For additional coats after 1 hour, wait 7 days for paint to cure. Dries to the touch in 1 hour. Can be handled in 3 hours.

• The EZ Touch Nozzle requires 50% less finger fatigue than a standard nozzle and allows for greater coverage and less overspray.
• After each use, invert can and spray until clear gas comes out.
• If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. DO NOT stick pins or wire into the can opening. Discard empty can in trash pick-up.
• Covers approximately 12-14 square feet per can.
