VHT Vinyl Dye Vinyl & Carpet Paint Satin Black 312g

VHT Vinyl Dye™ for vinyl and carpeting restores or changes the colour of any vinyl upholstery, seats and trim, or the "short nap" carpeting found in today's cars, boats, and watercraft. It is ideal for use on stiff or pliable vinyl, simulated leather, or plastic. It is extremely resistant to cracking or fading. Careful preparation is essential and all traces of dirt, silicone products, vinyl and rubber protectants, oils and greases must be removed. Incomplete preparation will not produce a satisfactory result.

Directions:

1. PREP: Prepare surface by removing grease, grime, and all silicone product treatments. For best results use grease and wax remover to clean surface. Light scuff surface with a red Scotch Brite Pad or equivalent to ensure proper adhesion. Wipe surface down again with grease and wax remover. Mask-off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Use at temperatures between 60°F (16°C) and 95°F (35°C) and when humidity is less than 60%.
2. SHAKE: Shake can vigorously for one full minute after missing ball moves freely, and 10 seconds after each minute of use.
3. APPLY (VINYL): To spray, hold can parallel and 8-10 inches from surface to be painted and use in an even, sweeping motion. To avoid runs and sags, apply in 2 light coats, followed by one medium wet coat. Apply all coats within 1 hour, allowing 10 minutes between each coat. For additional coats after 1 hour, wait 7 days for paint to cure. Dries to the touch in 1 hour. Can be handled in 3 hours.
4. APPLY (CARPET): Spray surface in one direction with long even strokes. Bursh freshly sprayed carpet with stiff nylon brush to separate the fibres. After brushing immediately spray the surface in the opposite direction, brush again. Repeat the process until smooth even colour has been obtained. Allow drying overnight. Test surface with a soft cloth to check for any wet areas. Vacuum thoroughly before use.

• The EZ Touch Nozzle requires 50% less finger fatigue than a standard nozzle and allows for greater coverage and less overspray.
• After each use, invert can and spray until clear gas comes out.
• If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. DO NOT stick pins or wire into the can opening. Discard empty can in trash pick-up.
• Covers approximately 12-14 square feet per can.
