This Threebond 1104-55BP Sealant and Gasket Adhesive is a grey synthetic rubber liquid gasket. It is resistant to fuel, diesel, and LPG, and is resistant to temperatures up to 150 °C.
Applications:
150 °C, sealing transmission case covers, motorcycle cases, timing chain covers, side covers, clutch housing bolts. Use as a gasket on oil seals, rear main oil seals, diesel and hydraulic threads and fittings, 2 stroke engine assembly and head studs.
Directions:
- Clean flange surfaces with Threebond Super Cleaner (6602T-480) and wipe clean with Methylated spirits. Ensure a dry, oil free surface.
- Apply a 3mm bead to one surface and around bolt holes and areas of the sealing surface.
- Assemble flanges straight away.
- Tighten to specified torque.
- Allow 12 hours for full cure prior to testing the sealing capabilities.
